Founded in 1902 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, the company began as a shipbuilding and repair operation before transitioning to crane manufacturing in the 1920s. Today, Manitowoc is recognized globally as the premier manufacturer of lattice boom crawler cranes, with installations across 120+ countries on every major type of heavy construction and industrial project.

With 4,500+ employees and 450,000 m² of manufacturing capacity, Manitowoc produces crawler cranes from 100 to 2,300 tons. Our engineering team continuously advances crane design through modular boom systems, computer-aided lift planning, and telematics-enabled fleet management.
